Wow. I haven't lived in Frankfurt since 1991 and seeing your pictures brought back all the wonderful memories. Thank you.
Was this located on Lamboy str.? and was it next to , or close to, Hutier Kaserne? I was at Hutier in '63-64,
in 93rd SIG. BTN. It's been so many years now that I can hardly remember the area.Think there was a Park Hotel and restrant across the str. Herr Erich Kohler owned it.I think the NCO club was attached to the same bldg. Thank you,
Dave Luce
I guess the locations you are referring to are in Hanau.
This small housing area is located in Frankfurt.
Wow brought back some serious memories. My dad was stationed on Abrams. I was in 5th grade thru 9th grade, maybe 10th. I loved it on Fischstein. We lived right next to the large playground. Lot of great times there. Miss the Friendships and the had my first love there.
Wow! These photos of Fischstein Housing sure does bring back some memories. I was stationed at Camp Eschborn, home of the 317th Combat Engineer Battalion and lived in Fischstein from 1985-1987. Thanks for showing these photos.
It is so great to see pictures of Fischstein as it was when I was there between 1967-1970. I was 11 yrs old & i had some great times there and made wonderful friendships. Thanks
Wow. I was there in the late 70s my dad was in the army as kids we would play kick at a huge field where the bus use to pick us up at and a bug playground across the field. Use to climb the trees and pick hazelnuts also there was a German park right next to the housing we would hop the fence an play with the German kids there and walk to the trinkhalle down the street for sweets. So many good memories as a little kid
I lived in Fischstein from the middle of 5th grade through the end of 9th. Moved stateside in the summer of '75. We had a 2nd floor balcony overlooking the big playground. Many, many great memories of that housing area and the city of Frankfurt.
