thank you so much for posting these pictures. It is my goal to actually get back to Wertheim someday.
I grew up there as a military brat during the 80s.
My family was stationed there from 1974-76. I was a kid and loved the AYA .Our cheerleading squad was amazing. I have great memories from that time. Any pictures of the AYA and there was a playground by the entrance. We lived in 202 c5 any pics of these quarters.

I too was a Military brat there. My father was stationed there from 1958 to 1962. We lived in the first row of barracks as you entered the Military Base, right across from the playground.

My husband commanded Service Battery and Alpha battery while we lived there(79-83)...the first set of housing , 2nd story, on the left side....the German rode was our outside kitchen windon. Great memoreis. I taught 2 nd grade there at the Wertheim School...just met a gal who was teaching at the school now...It is a middle school and so much bigger. Jean Mahar

In search of Vincent Wiggins he was stationed there in the 80s and 90s his home state was Florida and I believe he was a ranked as Srgt then. My husband and I were there in the 80s. He was stationed there at Peden we lived in Werthiem. Loved my time there. 1969 1st & 67th arty, across from EM club. short time then. worked at motor pool then cmmi team a bit. spent lots of time in photo lab in uso club. great beer and food. for a buck at both EM club and PX you got half a chicken and a huge pile of fries. remember Dave Jargo. hated army then-transfer from best duty ever to here when short-left 9/69 home by 10/2/69 liked Germany hated army- just a kid then
Army brat (teen) there from about 75-77. Loved it. Worked for the commissary, theater, and the "O" club. My sister is to this day looking for her childhood best friend she made there - Kelly Truesdale. Fond memories of all my friends and playing AYA football and basketball.
