I was stationed at Gibbs 71-73. HHQ Co. V Corps Training Road Show (TRS). This was part of Special Services. Ah yes as I recall there were 2 places to acquire wurst and or pomfriets. One was a trailer out in front of Gibbs as you made a left out the gate. The other was the imbiss across the street.
Many times we walked past 97th General Hospital seeking out some pizza an biers a Freddies.
How about the Taunus House, number 13 Strausse, Crazy Sexy's, The cotton Club down town. Gruenerberg veg, Hansza alley, Yhunderhall, shieza park.
I almost got killed in spring of 72 when the Badder, Mein, Hoff gang blew up the I G Farben Bldg. (used to work there whennot on the road with TRS.
Looking for any members of the "Road Show" or anyone who remembers this time in Frankfurt.
Frank (music man)

I must know you. Do you remember Foreham or Bob Mann? I was known as "Madd Dog."

This is eerily familiar. I used to live in the quarters at Platenstrasse, not too far away from Hansaalee. The buildings certainly have changed, particularly the balconies.

I too was with the V Corps Road Show. I know Frank (the music man) lives near where I now work. I was in the Road Show from '72 until it was disbanded in 73. Our group used to live in an apartment complex right across from the Taunus House. As I remember, the Badder/Meinhoff gang also set off a bomb at AFN headquarters in Frankfurt. Worked at the I.G. Farben and the Audio store after the T.R.S. (Training Road Show) ended. I directed "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" at the Frankfurt Community Theatre. Life in the Road Show should be turned into a movie script. No one would believe what we did and what we pulled off. I was cast as Carson (the bigoted jerkoff) in "Who You Callin Boy, Pig?". The hash flowed through our apartment complex...lol.

My tenure was 1969 to 1971 when Randy Lauson was the director. We lived in the Hansaalee apartments and had an unbeliveable time. My friend, John Quinn got me into the Roadshow and I had many great memories of traveling around Germany with the group. I was the narrator in the original Code of Conduct production and later the stage manager and then finally the assistant director. We wrote and produced the Drug show that we opened in front of all the Frankfurt brass. The show started with the Star Bangled Banner then transitioned to the Jimi Henrix version; I thought we were all going to jail.

Hi guys, only one of you I knew from above was Tate who was there the whole time I was and then some. I got out in Feb 71 and was denied the green weenie for insubordination and leading an insurrection??? Trumped up charges of course..something to do with not getting a haircut when ordered to do so. What a great experience TRS was. I learned more about people and theatre through that experience than any other single life event and made some life long friends, many of whom I would love to visit. Anyone thought of doing a reunion before we all get to friggin old? Im in. dj
